# Year 5 English · Term 1 Weeks 3–4 · Days 11–20

**Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 teaching draft, 29 September 2026.** The fortnight moves from a fictional information notice and image sequence to a two-viewpoint literary story. **To teach tomorrow:** Start at the day's lesson. Read the exact source and prepare one blank mat or movable cards, then offer one of the three learner routes. Keep the held-out check material away until Days 15/20. Record first independent response, which mode made the same meaning available, and any adult prompt; respond to the **specific** reading, reasoning or composition need. The optional short practice follows the core lesson. Family use is a paper/voice choice, never an account, purchase, photo or disclosure request.
