# Year 5 English Weeks 3–4 · source, rights and review ledger

The [ACARA Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 downloads](https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/downloads) supplied the official workbook held at `products/curriculum-studio/research/sources/acara-australian-curriculum-v9-download-2026-09-29.xlsx`. Its SHA-256 is `db446882d2c00cf7c085a03e250e2442fda6c44011fc114680c46c1dc7a822c3`. Each proposed English code in the [exact crosswalk](CURRICULUM-CROSSWALK.md) has `attributes.level == Year 5`, a source row and wording checked against that pinned import by [verify_pack.py](verify_pack.py). ACARA attribution and [copyright terms](https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/copyright-and-terms-of-use) apply to curriculum descriptions; ACARA has not endorsed, sponsored or approved SubjectNest.

[QCAA's P–10 English Version 9 page](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/p-10/aciq/version-9/learning-areas/p-10-english) and [Queensland planning page](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/p-10/aciq/version-9/learning-areas/p-10-english/p-10-english-planning) were checked for the state implementation route. This pack has **not** been mapped to a Queensland school unit, assessment plan, timetable, current school selection of texts, or other jurisdiction's syllabus. A curriculum leader must do that before local use.

No image, recording, translation, First Nations language/cultural example, third-party worksheet, child answer or external logo was downloaded into the pack. If a school adds one, the school must record authority, attribution, permissions and accessible equivalent before wider distribution.

## Human work still needed

An experienced Year 5 English teacher needs to run the exact lessons and check whether source navigation, figurative-language discussion, panel rearrangement, writing and feedback fit the local class. A learner/access specialist should test SVG/PDF and plain-text/tactile routes with actual tools; the PDFs have selectable text but are **not claimed tagged**. A curriculum leader needs to verify local Year 5 requirements, assessment conditions and a year-long range of literary authors/texts. Privacy approval is needed before any real learner work is displayed or published. Translations require qualified language review and an assessment-equivalence check; none is supplied here.
