# Year 6 supplementary menu · Term 1 Weeks 3–4 · Days 11–20

Ten distinct **optional 12-minute blocks** in each of [Science](SCIENCE.md), [HASS](HASS.md), [Health and Physical Education](HPE.md), [Technologies](TECHNOLOGIES.md) and [The Arts](ARTS.md). The Arts gives two days each to Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Arts. [Fifty swap-in contexts](ALTERNATIVE-CONTEXTS.md) let a teacher change examples while retaining the concept and evidence rule. These blocks supplement the main English/mathematics work and existing integrated weeks; they are **not** a complete weekly allocation for any subject.

## Run one block

1. Select the day and subject, prepare its ordinary kit and check school safety/access policy. Every menu uses **0–2, 2–4, 4–10, 10–12 minutes**. Set out one of the [five original A4 aids](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md), or use its text/tactile version. An optional [original eight-beat audio cue](audio/eight-beat-cue.wav) supports Music, with a [visual/tactile alternative](audio/TEXT-ALTERNATIVE.md).
2. Give the [clean learner copy](LEARNER-COPY.md). Learners can switch between practical, visual/tactile and spoken/AAC routes. These are access choices, not fixed “learning styles.” Offer a private willing audience, short directions, processing time and comfortable sensory levels. No device, account, purchase, personal disclosure or public sharing is required for the non-digital routes.
3. On Day 15/20, hand out only the chosen subject’s [fresh check](ASSESSMENT.md). Keep the [staff key and next teaching moves](TEACHER-KEY.md) private. A conceptual answer and an actually observed movement, physical artefact, performance or running program are different evidence. Use the [observed action card](print/observation-card.pdf) honestly.
4. Use the [exact curriculum crosswalk](CURRICULUM-CROSSWALK.md), [source and rights ledger](SOURCE-AND-RIGHTS.md) and [desk run-through](QA-RUN-THROUGH.md) when adapting. The [local verifier](verify_pack.py) checks days, routes, checks, official rows, print/audio, links and hashes.

## Safety and coverage boundary

Science circuits use only a teacher-approved **enclosed low-voltage** kit. No mains power, loose button cells, heat, tasting, hazardous weather entry, road entry or open water inspection. Without a circuit kit or approved visual-program workspace, learners can plan/model and the teacher records **plan only**. All cases and sample data are fictional unless the source ledger identifies an official fact. Check real government roles, map sources and local school policy before teaching or acting. Science/HASS link to official **Year 6** descriptions; HPE, Technologies and The Arts link to the official **Years 5 and 6 band**. The crosswalk explicitly marks partial and conditional scope. No state/territory compliance, community-approved First Nations content, translation or classroom effectiveness is claimed.
