# Full text and paper route for the offline model audit

The [offline tool](model-audit.html) has a title, rule selector, a labelled whole-number input, **Check the model** button, result/status area, permanent model-limit notice and a reader-test prompt. The downloadable original works offline, sends no input and stores none; the public library version loads style and script files from this site. Its three rules come from [Sources B, D and E](../SOURCES.md). A browser supports keyboard tab/shift-tab, arrow keys in the selector, typing a count and Enter or button activation. Focus is visibly outlined. The result is announced as a polite status where the browser/access technology supports it. Check with the actual learner; this is not assistive-technology certification.

## Paper simulation of each rule and limit

1. Pick one source rule and write a **non-negative whole count from 0 to 1000**. Reject a negative, decimal, blank, non-digit or larger input with the tool's full message: “Enter a whole number from 0 to 1000 using digits only. Negative numbers, decimals and personal details are not inputs to this model.” Do not put names or real dimensions in the field.
2. **Source B, panels per rail `n`:** one drawn rail uses `24+18n` centimetres; two use `2(24+18n)=48+36n` centimetres combined. Compare **one** result to the 96 cm drawn rail. At n4, one is 96 cm and two total 192 cm. Print/say: “This is a paper layout; real wall, clips, gaps and readers are untested.”
3. **Source D, complete demonstrations `d`:** the model uses `5+15d` minutes. Compare with 50 minutes. At d3, 50 is within; d4, 65 exceeds. Print/say: “Demonstrations are not people; questions, changeover and access arrangements are unknown.”
4. **Source E, total paper panels `p`:** F costs `12+2p` tokens; G costs `4p` tokens. Compare each with the invented 30-token budget. At p4, F20/G16; at p8, F28/G32. Print/say: “These are invented listed costs; material quality, waste and availability are unknown.”
5. Leave a **permanent limit card** beside the result: “Paper model only. A calculation cannot prove physical fit, safe mounting, material suitability, participation by every reader or a real event schedule.”

**Tactile route:** Make four raised/labelled cards, in order: SOURCE RULE, INPUT WITH UNIT, RESULT WITH UNIT, MODEL LIMIT. Use separate tokens for one rail versus two combined, minutes versus people, and total panels versus quoted tokens. A partner may move cards as directed but does not choose the learner's conclusion. An invalid-input card contains the exact error above.

**Digital Technologies evidence boundary:** Paper simulation provides mathematics and source-reading access plus interface-design reasoning. It does **not** demonstrate that the learner used, tested or modified a browser interface. Record the actual route. Do not count a browser test as program implementation; the optional HTML is already supplied and a wireframe revision is a design proposal unless implemented.
