# Original layered pulse · complete silent/tactile equivalent

The optional [WAV cue](layered-pulse.wav) is **3.2 seconds**, mono, 16 kHz, 16-bit PCM. It has eight equal 0.4-second slots, made with original sine-wave tones, no recording or copyrighted sample. Play at low volume only with a willing audience; the score below supplies all instructional information without sound. The first/second layers differ in pitch; pitch is not a culturally coded motif or a tune copied from elsewhere.

| Beat | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Layer A, lower tap | X | rest | X | X | rest | X | rest | X |
| Layer B, higher tap | rest | rest | rest | rest | X | rest | X | rest |

**Text narration:** “Lower tap; silence; lower tap; lower tap; higher tap; lower tap; higher tap; lower tap.” Each tap is short, followed by space within its 0.4-second slot. To make a tactile score, use eight large numbered boxes and two rows of raised or removable tokens; an empty box means rest. Learners may point or direct another person. Do not require touching, hearing or producing sound to discuss timing, entry and texture. A score documents composition; an actual performance needs observation.

Day 16's `0, 800, -800, 0` are **illustrative integer samples for a paper plot**, not an extraction that can reconstruct this complete WAV. The cue uses thousands of samples per second. The [source and rights ledger](../SOURCE-AND-RIGHTS.md) records original authorship and licence.
