# Complete text and tactile alternatives · six A4 aids

The six original pages use numbered boxes and high-contrast dark words on white. All meaning and order is stated below; no answer depends on colour, an arrow or exact spatial vision. Each page can be read by screen reader, neutral adult, sign/AAC, large print or a learner-directed scribe. For tactile use, write each numbered heading and its lines on a separate large card, arrange **1 → 2 → 3 → 4** in a line and let the learner move a source phrase/token beside a card. A neutral reader gives the words but not which conclusion to choose. SVG has a title and description; PDF text is selectable. These are paper scaffolds, not real measurements or approvals.

Top: “Use the labels in order; each box can be read alone. Point, write, direct a partner or speak/AAC your choice.”

1. **MODEL / SOURCE:** “What was drawn, stated or observed? Label invented values and the system boundary.”
2. **CLAIM:** “Write the exact claim before deciding. Does it report, predict or generalise?”
3. **TEST / CONTRAST:** “What variable, control or comparison matters? Keep an anomaly visible until checked.”
4. **LIMIT / NEXT STEP:** “Name what the source cannot establish. Choose one repeat or measurement to seek.”

2. **EXACT DETAIL:** “Copy a number or a short source phrase. Check units and who is represented.”
3. **SECOND CRITERION:** “Compare access, evidence, cost or viewpoint. A quick answer may omit a group or condition.”
4. **BOUNDED DECISION:** “Say what follows from the supplied detail. Name one source you still need.”

4. **CHECK FAIRNESS:** “What did each willing person get to do? A paper plan is not observed participation.”

4. **REVISE + LIMIT:** “Change one design factor and test again. Paper success is not real-world approval.”

4. **FEEDBACK / EDIT:** “Quote one specific observation or prompt. Show the changed line, count or frame.”

Below it are **two blank eight-box rows**, labelled Layer 1 and Layer 2, for a learner's own score. Final box asks: “Which boxes rest? Where does layer 2 enter? Was sound actually made or only planned?” A tactile version uses two parallel rows of eight numbered spaces. A raised dot/token means tap; an empty but labelled `REST` token means intentional silence. A second layer can begin at any chosen count; Day18 practice tries box 5. No audio playback or performance is required to read or compose.
