Keep this public teacher page and separate key away from learners until their first independent response is saved. Use a school-approved private record; capture exact first words/point/sign/AAC/drawing, access and adult prompt before feedback. Offer direct no-touch view, neutral attributed ADULT REPORT, broad tactile paper model, private answer or pass. Actual sources require local preflight, date, source identity, method and safe access. If unavailable, mark REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE and use only the invented fallback for source/representation reasoning. These checks guide next teaching, not whole-year certification.

Day 45 · unseen source and claim

ACTUAL LOCAL SOURCE option: Adult selects a new school-approved broad clean intact composite classroom object not used in Days 41–44, with at least two large accessible visible parts. Verify each material part from product/preparation information or mark UNKNOWN; do not ask the child to guess plastic/paper/fabric from colour. Log exact object identity, local date, broad source/place, access and visible features. The child may look from a safe position or hear a neutral adult description; no object handling is required. No bend/wipe/motion result is supplied or requested. If no verified composite is available, assess only visible part/source reasoning, not two-material composition.

PAPER MODEL ONLY fallback, fresh original drawing K: A large stepped outline (like three broad stairs) with two large circular outlines inside its upper area and one diagonal slash in the lower area. The caption reads “This object has two materials.” The drawing is labelled INVENTED PAPER MODEL; NO REAL OBJECT SUPPLIED. It has no actual object, verified materials, texture, size, location, date of observation or safe-use fact. Exact nonvisual/tactile: adult reads stepped outline, two large circles high inside, one diagonal slash low inside, then caption; broad fixed raised shapes are still paper models. Do not describe circles as holes or buttons without evidence.

Ask on blank source-gate and evidence-display:

“Is your source a real approved object, an adult description, or an invented drawing? What source/date can we record? For a model, today is only its use date.”
“Tell or show one feature you actually access in that source. What cannot be told?” For actual object, separate a visible part from its verified material label; for K, describe marks only.
“The caption claims two materials. Does your source establish that, leave it unknown, or show only words on paper? What source would check it?”
“Ask one safe next question about an actual approved object. Put a prediction apart from a result; no unperformed test gets a result.”

After first response: use the key for next teaching, then release Day 45 practice with different cases.

Day 50 · unseen transfer and next-step check

ACTUAL LOCAL SOURCE option: Adult preflights one new broad, light, intact school-approved object not used in Days 41–49, a clear stable flat marked START/CATCH lane, gentle adult release, catch area and safe viewing/no-touch route. Verify material label or UNKNOWN, date, surface, source, adult action and access. Child predicts before release. Adult may perform one safe release only if local approval remains valid; record what actually happens, including no movement or NOT TESTED. No result or expected direction is fixed. No small hard ball, elevated ramp, forceful push or race.

PAPER MODEL ONLY fallback, fresh original drawing L: A broad square border contains one kite-shaped outline at its centre and three short horizontal stripes along its lower edge. Beneath it is the printed sentence “It will always slide.” The drawing is labelled INVENTED SCENE; NO OBJECT MOVED. There is no actual object, source material, lane, action, time, observer, movement result or proof of “always”. Exact nonvisual/tactile: read border, central kite outline, three short stripes below, then caption in that order; broad fixed raised lines remain invented. Do not call the outline a real kite or the stripes a measured path.

Ask on blank evidence-display, next-question and handover:

“What source do you have? Name date/source or model-use date, and one exact observed feature or drawn mark.”
“Is ‘always slide’ a result? Ask a safe question about this exact approved real object and predict before any actual release.” On paper-only route, propose a future safe question; no actual result.
If an approved actual release occurs, “What did you directly notice or hear the adult report? Compare with your prior prediction.” If paper only, “What does the drawing show, and what can it not prove?”
“Give one bounded claim or NOT TESTED, one unknown and one next safe teaching question.” Save actual prompt/access; do not claim growth from this one response.
