The three original A4 aids are black on white with labelled shapes and spaces; no meaning depends on colour, animation or sound. SVG <title> and <desc> give a short alternative. PDFs are visual print exports and should be paired with this selectable text for screen-reader use. A learner may use a text table, large print, tactile grid, speech/AAC or a partner who moves marks under the learner's direction. Assess the named concept separately from pencil control or vision.
Two scatterplot frames

- A, simulated cart: horizontal net force from 0 to 4 newtons in steps of 1; vertical acceleration from 0 to 10 metres per second squared in steps of 2. Both axes begin at zero. The source points are
(1,1.8),(1,2.1),(2,3.8),(2,4.2),(3,5.9),(3,6.2),(4,7.8),(4,8.1). Units and “simulated” must stay attached. These are original fictional data, not measured cart results. - B, invented routes: horizontal route distance from 0 to 12 km in steps of 2; vertical duration from 0 to 40 minutes in steps of 5. Source pairs:
(2,7),(4,13),(6,18),(8,26),(10,31),(12,35). These are not travel predictions. - Bottom prompt: Describe direction, strength, form and one limit. Decide those descriptions from the supplied pairs; the sheet does not give a model answer.
Text route: sort pairs by x; compare what generally happens to y; name any repeated x-values and variation; state units and scope. Tactile route: use a raised-axis mat, numbered x and y strips and removable raised dots; an adult prepares the mat, then a learner directs the placement. For cart decimals, place dots proportionally between even-numbered horizontal lines or use the exact coordinate table if tactile precision is impractical. Never infer weakness in data reasoning from difficulty placing a 0.1 increment by touch.
Cost comparison board
The page states fictional device hire, complete months m from 0–12; A(m)=$240+$80m, B(m)=$480+$50m; and a $1,000 ten-month practice cap. A blank three-column table asks for month 0, 4, 8, 10 and 12 totals. The prompts underneath ask for chosen horizon, both totals, lower modelled price and difference, whether it fits the cap, and what is assumed or needs a real source.

This is a blank student route, matching the print sheet; the teacher keeps a separate answer key. Both plans' access, safety and service quality are merely assumed equivalent in the exercise. Real contract terms and needs remain unknown. Text route: copy the formulas and table row labels into a document, calculate and speak/type each conclusion with “at m months”. Tactile route: lay out one row card per horizon, arrange dollar-value cards in two labelled columns and trace a crossing only after the learner calculates it.

- Source and scope: Who made the data? What was simulated or observed?
- Claim: What does the text ask a reader to believe or do?
- Checkable support: Which number, unit, phrase or method bears on it?
- Limit and next question: What cannot follow yet? What would you check?
Footer reminders: Try a fair alternative reading before a final sentence. A strong response may say: not enough evidence yet. Text-only route: answer the numbered prompts in sequence. Tactile route: four numbered cards or boxes; move a separate evidence token to the third card and an uncertainty token to the fourth. Always give the token's word label too; texture alone must not encode it.
