Choose a fictional web-page case. Sort each statement as a need, constraint, missing fact or testable criterion. A criterion is a planned test condition, not an outcome. The cards are invented; no real user has been interviewed.

Paper route

Copy the four statements from either case onto scrap-paper strips. Make four headings: need, constraint, missing fact, planned test. Place each strip under a heading and explain why. Open the answer notes only after trying.

Paper self-check and reasoning

Art-fair map: finding the workshop tent is the need; no live route updates is a constraint; untested mobile coverage is a missing fact; a reader finding the tent in a timed prototype trial is a criterion.

Community cinema: knowing Friday trial details before travel is the need; no in-evening headset-count update is a constraint; unknown demand for advance information is a missing fact; a reader finding the trial time and place in a planned 20-second paper test is a criterion.
