Map B is an imaginary makers' fair seen from above. Page top is up. Five columns A, B, C, D, E run left to right. Five rows 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 run top to bottom. A named square has a landmark. Open means unlabelled space. “Directly” means one adjacent cell; a place in the same row or column can be farther away.

The lower part of the A4 aid is a blank 3 × 3 grid for the learner's new plan, with columns A–C and rows 1–3. It contains no placed landmark. A tactile alternative uses 25 raised squares for Map B and nine fresh squares for the creation task. Place labels can be tactile cards or read aloud. A partner moves the chosen labels exactly as the learner directs.
