Write the question/hypothesis; what is changed, measured and kept equal; a table of data labelled actual observation, secondary source or fictional practice; pattern, anomaly and possible error; claim with evidence and limitation. Tactile: three variable cards with different raised shapes, four row cards, and an anomaly marker. Do not silently delete an awkward result or relabel model data as field evidence.

For two sources, record origin, date, purpose and perspective. Then what is known/missing; whose role or view needs checking; a cautious conclusion and next question. Tactile: two differently textured source cards, an authority card and an unknown card. A classroom prop is not an ancient artefact, and a fictional map is not a local survey.
What actually happened? (staff)
Learner/group code, day, task/route; action seen/heard; artefact made/shown; learner explanation/question; evidence status (observed, work seen, plan only, not assessed); responsive next step. Tactile: four status tokens with one to four raised marks. Keep personal information out of the card and school records secure.
Design • test • code (Technologies)
User, need and testable criterion; design A/B and trade-off; actual make/test/revision. Digital: input → nested choice → output; data needed/not needed; whether an actual program ran. Tick built and observed for a real physical/digital outcome only; paper design only for a plan. Tactile: two design-option cards and a fork card inside another fork to model nesting. Actual program output requires a school-approved local runtime.
Intention • action • revision (The Arts)
Intention and willing audience; element/device changed; what actually made/performed; audience observation/question; revision and status (performed, work shown, plan only). Tactile: five numbered cards with distinct textures. A score, script or storyboard alone is preparation, not a heard/seen performance.
A tiny image as digits (Digital Technologies)
A blank four-row, four-column grid. Convention: 0 is white and 1 is black. Read left to right across the top row, then the second, third and fourth rows. Write sixteen digits in row order. Ask what changed when one digit flipped. Tactile: four rows of four square cells, with a raised dot for black and flat for white; provide row and column labels. This is a simplified monochrome model, not a complete account of image file formats.
