Teacher preflight: use an approved actual device with suitable display/input/access settings and the school's session/rest rules. Open only the bundled message studio. It contains fixed invented choices, no free text, external scripts, camera/microphone, account, uploads, storage or automatic sound. Preview keyboard and any required assistive route with the learner. A child may switch to paper or pass at any time.
- Name the actual hardware in use and the software page. Do not call a paper model running software.
- Child chooses a fixed pretend message, matching key and representation view, by suitable input or exact direction. Record which controls they explored, who operated them and the child's contribution.
- Ask what the system showed and what it was for: giving a reader the same message in different representations. One tap or merely recognising a device is insufficient evidence of purposeful exploration.
- Record actual hardware/software/input/output/purpose, exact support and uncertainty privately. If only an adult demonstration, screenshot or paper was used, keep child use NOT OBSERVED. Exact direction can demonstrate child decision-making, with operation support clearly recorded; it is not independent physical input.
- Reset after use. The application retains choices only while this page is open; reload resets them. No learner records are exported. A browser/host may keep ordinary access logs under its own policies; the activity code does not collect learner data.
