Make a tiny message board for a pretend puppet show. Can another person read the same information from your objects, pictures and symbols? What happens when two boards use different keys? Children build, test and repair a useful message, then choose whether to show it to a willing reader. No puppet performance, screen, printing or personal disclosure is required.
These ten optional 25-minute Days 31–40 extend earlier grouping work into a reader-facing message and an explicit symbol key. Our pretend SHOW BOARD is never an official safety sign, a real help route or proof of musical/dance performance.
Ready in five minutes
- Read the fixed practice sources and key. Draw three broad cards or use the supplied A4 pages and exact alternatives. An adult can do all physical preparation.
- Pick today's complete script and offer its three switchable response routes. Invite a paper tabletop show, a silent puppet or an exact spoken/AAC message.
- Keep fresh checks and the educator key closed until Days 35/40. Use worked swaps for extra practice after any first check response.
The optional message studio runs with fixed invented choices and a complete paper equivalent. It requests no name, camera, microphone, upload or account, and saves nothing. An actual approved device can offer conditional digital-system exploration; use the device record. Paper remains available throughout.
