Choose routes by access and preference, not an assigned learning-style label. Each route addresses the same section structure. A neutral adult can read or move as the child directs, but cannot add a matching card. Silent and tactile plans meet structure-planning; any aural or performance claim needs a separate real observation.
| Day | Large-print/visual route | Tactile/low-movement route | AAC/spoken/directed route |
|---|---|---|---|
| 101 | Point to paired borders for six numbered slots and select two opening L/H cards. | Feel three raised section borders, each containing two fixed slots; place opening cards. | Direct an adult to name and fill only OPENING slots 1–2. |
| 102 | Copy an opening pair into final two slots, checking first-to-first and second-to-second. | Overlay opening and return raised pairs, then repair a reversed tactile copy. | Use AAC/speech to direct exact final pair and say which order stays. |
| 103 | Read L H / L L / L H, underline a middle difference and both return matches. |
Feel three fixed two-slot strips; touch changed middle second card and matched final pair. | Dictate one different middle mark and exact final pair via neutral scribe. |
| 104 | Compare two printed six-event rows and point to the exact-return ending. | Use side-by-side raised rows; match first/second cards of opening to final. | Hear/read both rows neutrally; select intended return or changed ending and explain. |
| 105 | Independently inspect Return 1's unfamiliar three printed sections and mark match/contrast. | Independently compare three fixed raised two-slot sections without adult markers. | Neutral adult reads the six marks; child directs return and middle-difference response by AAC. |
| 106 | Put a six-card planned score in PLAN and leave ACTUAL/COMFORT as NOT TRIED when silent. | Set a token in the first of three raised log boxes; other boxes stay NOT TRIED without trial. | State whether a cleared cue actually played and one's own response, or choose paper only. |
| 107 | Read source circle/stripe pairs and show opening/return match. | Feel B striped/A round cards in fixed two-slot section panels and mark middle difference. | Direct six A/B cards using full source labels and name the returning pair. |
| 108 | Draw/write six marks with section lines and a child-chosen key. | Compose with six broad raised slots, copy opening into final pair and check middle. | Dictate each section through AAC/speech; adult saves exact first score. |
| 109 | Show a score to a willing reader or choose private keeping; point to cleared work source if offered. | Give/retain a tactile score under child control; recipient touches only if invited. | Explain section key to a willing recipient using AAC/sign/speech, or pass. |
| 110 | Independently fill Return 2's two blank source-key final slots in the given order. | Choose two broad raised A/B cards for the final fixed section; compare to opening. | Direct final two placements to neutral adult, then state return and contrast without prompts. |
