These are write-on original vector SVG/PDF diagrams. Their boxes are labelled with text as well as colour, the SVGs have title/description, and the PDF text is selectable. The descriptions below allow screen-reader, enlarged-text, oral/AAC and tactile adaptation. They do not claim that embossed or Braille editions or real-user accessibility testing have been completed. Use Cards H–N for full fictional conditions and the public worked key only after a first response.
Wage layers · SVG · PDF
Heading WAGE LAYERS; subtitle says multipliers and counts attach to the right rate. Upper Card H box has four blank rows: REGULAR: 8 hours × $28/hour; ADDITIONAL RATE: $28/hour × 1.5; ADDITIONAL: 2 hours × new rate; GROSS MODEL TOTAL. Lower Card I box has REGULAR: 6 hours × $31/hour; ADDITIONAL: 2 hours × (1.25 × $31/hour); ONE-SHIFT ALLOWANCE: $24; GROSS MODEL TOTAL. The printed caution says model multipliers are not real legal pay rates. Tactile route: use separate labelled trays for regular hours, additional hours and a once-only allowance token. Match each count to a per-hour rate before adding amounts. Do not rely on the blue/green colours.
Two percentage bases · SVG · PDF
Heading TWO PERCENTAGE BASES. Upper Card J panel: mark-up uses cost $80 as base; 80 × 0.25 = gap ____; cost + gap = price ____; reverse price − cost = gap. Lower Card K panel: cost $72, price $90, gap $18; mark-up = 18 ÷ 72 × 100 = ____%; margin = 18 ÷ 90 × 100 = ____%. Footer: a price gap is not proven net profit. Tactile route: use an $18 raised strip, place it first beside a labelled $72 cost strip and then a $90 selling-price strip. Keep denominator labels attached to each operation.
Change ladder · SVG · PDF
Heading CHANGE LADDER. The figure is invented, not inflation data. Top: Version 1 $125; Version 2 $137.50. Forward box: $125 → $137.50; difference ____ ÷ starting $125 ×100; percentage increase blank; reverse-check sentence. Return box: $137.50 → $125; difference ____ ÷ starting $137.50 ×100; percentage decrease blank; same dollar difference, different starting base. Tactile route: use one fixed $12.50 difference strip and two different base strips, each explicitly labelled “from.” Put the strip beside each base in turn.
Exchange directions · SVG · PDF
Heading EXCHANGE DIRECTIONS. The exercise rate is invented: AUD $1 = USD $0.64, with no fees or spread. Forward box: AUD → USD: multiply by 0.64; AUD $250 ×0.64 = USD ____; reverse check USD result ÷0.64 = AUD ____. Reverse box: USD → AUD: divide by 0.64; USD $96 ÷0.64 = AUD ____; reverse check AUD result ×0.64 = USD ____. Footer says this is not a quote and real fees/rates are unknown. Tactile route: give labelled AUD and USD currency cards and one factor card marked USD 0.64 per AUD 1. Keep source and target cards on opposite ends of each physical arrow; move them and reverse the operation for the return direction. Optional offline rate switch contains these same inputs plus a changed invented rate; paper/card route is mathematically equivalent for the main conversion.
Share measures · SVG · PDF
Heading SHARE MEASURES. Upper Card N1 box says $24/share, $0.84 annual dividend/share, 50 shares; blanks for 50×0.84 annual dividend dollars and $0.84÷$24×100 yield. It reminds users to match one-share dividend and one-share price, with no future return guarantee. Lower Card N2 box says Cedar $30 price ÷ $2 annual earnings/share = ____ and Slate $36 ÷ $3 = ____; P/E is a ratio, not a percentage. Footer: a single measure cannot recommend a share purchase. Tactile route: pair one dividend token with one price token for yield; put 50 dividend tokens into a separate portfolio tray for total dollars. For P/E, make repeated EPS tokens up to the stated price and count groups. Avoid an investment ranking.
Offline interactive · rate-switch.xlsx
This file is not connected to a market. Column headers, left to right: Model; USD per AUD $1; AUD input; USD output; USD input; AUD output; Rate status. First row is Card M with 0.64, AUD250, USD96; second row offers an invented 0.80 for the same inputs. Yellow cells are editable invented inputs. USD output formula is AUD input × rate; AUD output is USD input ÷ rate. Directions and no-live-quote warning appear below the table. The learner can change only the rate, predict both outputs and compare. Card M and the exchange diagram supply the same reasoning without software. Do not enter personal transactions. Screen-reader and spreadsheet behavior should be confirmed with an individual user; this file has only been desk-tested in LibreOffice.
