Pitch names use scientific pitch notation: C4 is middle C, A4 is the 440 Hz reference. p = quiet; mf = moderately strong. Start at beat 1; hold each pitch through its duration. Teacher timing check: A/C/E each sum to four beats. B has 1 + 1 silent + ½ + ½ + 1 = 4. D has ½ + ½ + 1 + 2 = 4. In F each voice separately spans four beats. The first line is an event description, not an invitation to play all listed notes at once.
