These checks are public by URL, with a separate public worked feedback key for the teacher. They are not secure school assessment instruments. Use clean paper/pencil or the text/tactile route; extra time is available through local teacher judgment. A source reader or scribe may help access without supplying an art decision. Keep your first response before feedback. Two different images can both show strong observation, intention and reflection. No personal story, image of a person or imitation of a named artist is required.
Day 5 Check A · paper arch (File G)
New File G. This original A4 line drawing or searchable PDF shows an unmarked paper arch from the front: two straight upright sides support one rounded top; there is an open centre; a short diagonal fold line appears near the right base. It has no indicated colour, brand, cultural symbol, maker or reverse side. For a tactile route, use two straight raised strips, one curved string or bent strip, and a small diagonal strip at the right base. Do not assume a shadow or material thickness not shown.
- Name two observable features in G. Make two original small responses to the same form: one that keeps it recognisable and one that changes a viewpoint, crop or line emphasis. Label the chosen change.
- Explain which response better communicates your chosen attention point and cite a visible/tactile decision. Give one possible audience reading, clearly labelled as a possibility, and one thing the sheet does not show.
- Add one practical next test using only ordinary school-safe paper/pencil. A different personal interpretation is welcome if grounded in the response.

Day 10 Check B · stepped paper (File H)
New File H. This original A4 line drawing or searchable PDF shows three blank, overlapping rectangular paper tabs that rise in steps from left to right. Each tab has a straight top edge; the centre tab partly hides the lower tab, and the upper tab partly hides the centre tab. One short vertical crease lies on the upper tab. There is no colour, brand, named place, cultural motif or implied story. A tactile route uses three offset blank cards with a raised short crease on the top card.
- Make a three-frame sequence from H: a full view, a chosen detail, then a purposeful reduction or distortion. Label at least two observable features of H and one feature removed or changed by your final frame. You may draw, arrange plain paper or dictate exact visual instructions to a neutral scribe.
- Complete a short process trace:
I observed ___ → I chose ___ → a viewer might read ___ because ___ → the evidence cannot show ___ → next I would test ___. Mention line, shape, crop, sequence or material precisely. - A peer suggests pasting an artist's gallery image into the open class aid because it is online. State one rights/source concern and a lawful, independent alternative. You may cite the institutional record capsule without imitating the artwork.
Before handing in: Is the third frame derived from H yet visibly changed? Is your audience claim bounded rather than certain?
