Ten minutes · outdoor noticing / comparing. You need: A safe place to observe: a balcony with an adult, yard, park seat or window. Pick one small scene, such as a tree, garden pot or patch of ground.
Play: Look once, turn away for a moment, then look again. Ask what is different or still the same. Wind might move a leaf; a shadow might shift; nothing obvious might change. That is still worth noticing.
Adult says: “What do you remember seeing?” “What do we see now?” “How could we check?” Offer your own observation as a guess, not the answer.
Child chooses: Scene, length of pause, and whether to speak, point, draw, touch a model or just watch.
Notice: What did they compare? Did they find a detail you missed or decide the two views looked alike?
Access and safety: For low vision, compare a safe large object outdoors by touch before and after it is moved, while saying that this is a model of change. A seated or indoor view is fine. Stay away from roads, heights and unknown plants. No screen is needed; two private photos are optional.
