Routes are not permanent learning-style categories or diagnoses. A child can switch at any time. Large print, exact oral reading, sign/AAC, raised outlines, quiet space, extra processing time and a scribe work across routes. Record the child's first answer and support used. At checks, demonstrate a response mode only on unrelated blank shapes.
