These are formative public cases, not secure exams. Keep each new fictional source unseen until its day. Read neutrally and offer speech, sign, AAC, pointing, broad secured labels, adult scribe or private answer. Record the first independent response and access support separately before using the teacher key. No child must move, disclose a safety event, report a feeling, give a family fact or share publicly. Any real concern follows school policy immediately.
Day 45 · fresh Case L · the Bronze Dot Display
Complete fictional source. “An illustrator makes a BRONZE DOT DISPLAY for an invented paper game. It has six broad paper dots: PATH · PATH · PATH · PATH | STAY · STAY. The illustrator writes, ‘I put the dots here myself. No child chose a route or played.’ A puppet says, ‘The four PATH dots prove four children moved on a real path.’ Another puppet asks, ‘Could someone choose a small suitable action, stay at one checked place, rest or pass instead?’”
Questions — same target through any response route:
- What do the four PATH dots and two STAY dots actually count? Does the first puppet have evidence that four children moved? Which source sentence decides?
- Make a fair invitation with two suitable options, rest or pass. What happens when a real person answers “not now”?
- What separate local source would be needed before recording a child's actual physical action, fair turn or outdoor participation?
Teacher record: first source answer and invitation under FICTIONAL DISPLAY/CONSENT REASONING. Record a real approved child action only in a separate dated private school record. Otherwise PHYSICAL ACTIVITY NOT OBSERVED and OUTDOOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY NOT OBSERVED.
Day 50 · fresh Case M · the Violet Return Card
Complete fictional source. “An invented maker has a VIOLET RETURN CARD with two paper versions. FIRST: ONE TURN BOX → FINISH. SECOND: TWO WIDE TURN BOXES → REST → FINISH. The maker writes, ‘I added a second turn choice and a rest because the first drawing had no rest place.’ A puppet adds, ‘Everyone loved the second version in real play.’ The source says NO REAL GAME WAS TRIED, and nobody's response was recorded.”
Questions — same target through any response route:
- Name the exact paper change and the maker's stated reason. Which parts stay the same?
- Is the puppet's real-play praise supported? Suggest one further fair choice or rule while keeping the game's goal.
- If the school later offers a suitable real try, what would an adult need to check and record before claiming any child took part or followed the rule? Can this card alone show progress over the term?
Teacher record: first paper revision and evidence distinction under FICTIONAL REVISION REASONING. A separate actual trial needs local approval, choice, date, setting, exact child action, support and observed rule response. If none occurred, write PHYSICAL ACTIVITY NOT OBSERVED. One public check cannot certify a term.
