Keep this file away from learner pages until a first response has been saved. Paper evidence is score reasoning/composition, not heard or performed texture, comfort, community importance or audience receipt. Record task / child's words or actions / information and response routes / model or prompt / next step. Use independent / after neutral access / after teaching support / unobserved as observation categories; do not label a learner. A neutral reader names every cell without classifying it. A prompt toward a solution is teaching support. Offer an equivalent new opportunity if access, rest or pass prevented observation.
Texture 1 · Day 135
T is together: both A and B sound at 2,4,6; both wait at 1,3,5. U takes turns: B at 1,3,5 and A at 2,4,6, exactly one line per column. Any T meeting column 2/4/6 and any U column 1–6 with its correct active/waiting lines is valid evidence. Do not accept “both” in T's empty columns; neither is different from together. Held features include A decisions, two lines, three marks each, six equal pulse places, source convention. Accept one precise hold. Paper cannot prove hearing, comfortable volume, synchronized actual playing, actual listener words or real audience receipt.
If the child identifies names but offers no column evidence, follow with a new practice pair and ask A then B in one column. If an empty column is called together, contrast zero marks with two marks. If a silent route was used, preserve it and hold hearing evidence. If information access was unavailable, retry another time rather than rating ability.
Texture 2 · Day 140
A remains 2,3,5; B must become 1,4,6. Remove B at 2,3,5; add B at 1,4,6; B waits at 2,3,5. A waits at 1,4,6. Every column has exactly one active line; B still has three marks. A complete response must preserve every A mark/wait, have exactly these three B positions and explicit waits elsewhere. Correct removed/added positions and one changed relation substantiate the relocation. A child-owned reason such as “now each line has its own place” is acceptable; a story/emotion is optional and not a keyed requirement. If a child declines a reason, record not stated; do not withhold recognition of structural success.
If B count is wrong, pair three physical tokens one-to-one before a later new task. If A changes, fix A tokens on a new practice strip and ask the learner to move only B. If all occupied places are copied as both, contrast one column's circle alone, square alone and both. If outcome is partly correct, save it then teach with a different base; do not report the supported retry as independent. Fresh example for later practice: A 1,4,5, B initially 1,4,5; target B 2,3,6. No universal emotion or aural skill follows from any keyed arrangement.
