A model result cannot be promoted into an actual classroom claim. There is no fixed local movement answer: real outcomes depend on actual safe apparatus and attempts.
Day 95 · Case R
- Strong bounded response: maker intended to compare face placement of the same block. The start shifted from HOME to BRIDGE. With ordered positions HOME → BRIDGE → GATE, each drawn run advanced one position, so the GATE end point alone does not prove narrow face went farther from the same starting mark. The sentence “narrow face makes it go farther” is unsupported by these two drawings and says nothing about a real block.
- Fairer next source: school-approved adult-pretested low rimmed setup with one large safe block, same start, tray/tilt, no-push action and observation rule; change only placement, make an advance prediction if possible, record local date, raw stop positions and interruptions. Actual outcomes may be equal, mixed or unclear.
- Do not credit: a real AC9SFI02 investigation, actual fabric or motion property, centimetres, universal face rule, or a claim that merely ending at GATE is farther travel when starts differ.
- Next move: if child tracks endpoints only, trace each start-to-stop pair on the ordered strip; if they find the confound, invite an independent fair-plan explanation; if paper is treated as real, re-label MODEL and ask what an actual date/source would look like.
Day 100 · Case S
- Strong bounded response: four valid paper stops: FLAT A/B and EDGE B/A, one of each for each placement. The HAND CAUGHT PANEL row stays recorded as INTERRUPTED, not a valid EDGE stop. The caption was added after the table, so it is a retrospective guess rather than a prior prediction. EDGE did not always reach B even within the model; one EDGE entry is A. No real panel result is established.
- Honest private handover: “This fictional table has mixed A/B stops for both placements. The hand-caught row was interrupted. The later caption cannot be checked as an advance prediction. I would need a safe approved actual trial, local date, steady setup, raw attempts and a prediction recorded before results to ask what a real panel does.”
- Do not credit: AC9SFI02 actual observation or a real AC9SFU02 movement conclusion from S; a prior-prediction comparison where none exists; a class audience reaction, improvement claim or year-standard certification.
- Next move: if child counts the caught row, sort VALID versus INTERRUPTED; if they call the late caption a prior prediction, lay BEFORE and AFTER labels beside the record; if they state bounded evidence, offer a genuinely dated sample for a later private explanation.
Interpretation: paper checks sample fair-method, raw-record and claim/source reasoning. An actual safe movement investigation and wider evidence over time are still needed for stronger movement-factor and inquiry judgments. They do not alone certify Foundation Science, state implementation or a learner's growth.
