Your teacher opens this card at the start of the independent check. The supplier, prices and project are fictional.
Art Relay offers unopened packs of 10 badges for $22 or 15 badges for $31.50. A project needs exactly 30 badges. It cannot buy part packs or return extras. Delivery and storage are unquoted. Then imagine only the 15-badge pack rises 10%.
- Find each original price per badge.
- Give two feasible whole-pack routes for exactly 30 badges and each route's original stated outlay.
- Name the lower original outlay and the difference.
- Find the new 15-badge pack price after the rise, then the cost of the two-pack route. Which route has the lower stated outlay now, and by how much?
- Name a missing condition that could matter beyond these stated prices.
Before calculating, estimate which unit price is lower and about how much two large packs might cost. Show pack counts, equations, currency and units. Check that your percentage uses the stated original pack price as its base. Use your agreed calculator setting and keep first work alongside any revision.
