Review decisions and remaining limits
- Teacher read vs learner read: Story C and information D/E were deliberately placed in
MATERIALS.mdas adult-read texts. Cards hold isolated practice only after local code audit. Optional sentences are not automatically independent reading tasks. This prevents inflated decoding evidence. - Assessment leakage: The Day 15 and Day 20 new word lists and new prompts exist only in
teacher/ASSESSMENT.md. The verifier checks for accidental copying into learner, lesson and source materials. - Access: No forced movement, sound, screen, colour cue, public performance or reading speed. Enlarged/tactile labels, paper tokens, AAC and adult transcription preserve task purpose. Teachers record the mode and cue so interpretation stays honest. This is a choice menu, not a claim about fixed “learning styles”.
- Safety/privacy: The map is fictional. It does not ask for home routes, personal addresses, real school restricted spaces, child accounts or uploads. School-managed learner records stay outside this pack.
- Cultural/language representation: Fictional neutral contexts avoid unverified claims about a specific First Nations place or language. Translation/localisation needs fluent human review, community authority where applicable, and a newly checked phonics line; none is claimed in this release.
- What to test later: A working teacher with learners should confirm timings, word-scope substitutions, comprehension prompts, route-map accessibility and whether the Day 15/20 station is feasible at their group size. A text-only and PDF route are supplied; a screen-reader user and low-vision user have not yet signed off on this pack.
Rebuild/review: python3 verify_pack.py checks source identity, ten scripts and cards, held-out separation, links, A4/searchable PDF, SVG access text and hashes without changing files. --write-crosswalk and --write-manifest are explicit maintenance actions. The manifest records this exact authored version.
