Before class: Check the school's current safety, privacy, access and material policies. Adult prepares any cutting and inspects clean large paper/card; avoid food packaging if cleanliness or allergies are uncertain. For a physical try use an A3-or-larger sheet or other school-approved broad surface, thick marker, ten adult-prepared palm-sized or larger blunt paper picture cards, and a stable clear table. Use no pins, staples, blades, tape, string, magnets, tiny counters, real food or prized personal possessions. The A4 sheets are plans and prompts, not a promise that ten safe physical cards fit on A4. If large cards/surface are unavailable, do the full spoken/drawn plan with NOT TRIED. A child may pass on touch, direct an adult, sign or use AAC; record what each person physically did.

Optional actual making and trial: Adult prepares a large blank sheet and ten suitable broad picture cards in advance. Under approval a child may mark ten spaces and place cards one at a time, or direct an adult who makes/places; do not credit child physical making when the adult did it. Record the exact board dimensions/material, handler, and whether each card FIT, OVERLAP or another observed condition, using NOT TRIED if no actual placement. If a willing viewer tries the board, record the person's actual words/actions separately. The child can revise a width, grouping, label or card-home area; test a changed version separately if approved. One physical result cannot be generalised to every table/card/user. In Week 12, use only fictional/shared school materials, ask permission locally for any real borrowing, and never stage a real refusal as a compulsory child assessment.
Held checks: Day 55 Library Return Board presents a new ten-picture source and asks for two user-focused board ideas without supplying a trial. Day 60 Shared Art Station presents a new shared-station brief with a blank card home and no real user result. Do not show these before first responses.
Private teacher record: child idea and purpose, access/response route, adult content cue, physical maker and card handler, observed fit/overlap status, willing viewer response if any, and revision/next question. Store identified child work only through school procedures.
