Independent response · 7 min. Child represents its beat/rest sequence, identifies a sounded pair, and says one source-supported action. Show fresh print only at the child's taught point; record first answer and support.
Meaning check · 4 min. Ask whether the new poem tells how everybody felt. Save answer before any explanation.
