- Question model · 5 min. Give “Where is STORY MAT on this map?” Then distinguish a question from a guess: “Maybe outside” is a guess not shown by the paper.
- Independent route · 7 min. Day 1 A/B/C locate STORY MAT and make one answerable question about a visible map feature, using point, mark or adult-directed placement. Record the child's exact question.
