Choose one card with your teacher. Use big counters, paper pictures, a screen or another way you can move and count. You can point, sign, speak or use your communication device to explain. The numbers describe pretend paper setups. No real plants, books, art frames or food need to be moved.
Card A · Test marks
Put 5 large paper marks in a tray. Add 2 more. How many now? Show how you checked. Does this count tell us how far a toy moved?
Card B · Garden plan
Put 8 plant-picture cards in a paper plan. Take 3 cards out of the plan. How many stay in the plan? Show the start and the change.
Card C · Library tray
Start with 6 book-picture cards in a paper tray. Add 4 more returned book cards. How many are in the tray now? Can you check another way?
Card D · Art wall
Put 9 paper art-frame cards on the mat. Take 2 off. How many stay? Put the two back. How many are there now?
Card E · Game markers
Put 4 big markers in one tray and 3 in another. Slide them together. What is the whole? Can you split that same whole another way?
Card F · Ten and some more
Fill one ten-frame. Put 4 counters beside it. Show the matching numeral. Tell or show where the ten is and where the extra ones are.
Card G · Order path
Mix these cards: 0, 7, 12, 16, 20. Put them from least to greatest. Choose one and build the matching collection.
