The code and wording below follow the dedicated QCAA Australian Curriculum v9 Prep Music achievement standard and content description alignment, verified against the official document on 30 September 2026. QCAA Music v9 uses Prep in Queensland. ACARA's Music examples of knowledge and skills name listening, composing, performing, elements and safe practice as suggested approaches, not a prescribed lesson sequence. Our two-line graphic scores and synthetic cues are original.

|---|---|---|---|
| AC9AMUFE01 · Exploring and responding | “explore how and why the arts are important for people and communities” | Day 59 can ask about a real age-appropriate work using a named maker's or authorised source's account. | Fictional line scores and beeps say nothing about real community music or its meaning. Hold until a permitted encounter and child response are recorded. |
| AC9AMUFD01 · Developing practices and skills | “use play, imagination, arts knowledge, processes and/or skills to discover possibilities and develop ideas” | Children experiment with two overlapping lines, solo places, shared entries and rest space. | Paper shows intended relationships; actual hearing, timing, sound control and group coordination need separate observation. |
| AC9AMUFC01 · Creating and making | “create arts works that communicate ideas” | Child authors and revises a two-line four-place graphic score with an intended musical shape. | A score is emerging composition evidence, not proof of acoustic realisation or what a listener understood. |
| AC9AMUFP01 · Presenting and performing | “share their arts works with audiences” | Child may voluntarily share an original score or approved sounded version with an actually willing person. | Record actual recipient and medium. Rehearsal, a pass, a drawn audience or an offer not received cannot fill this row. |
The Foundation achievement standard includes describing experiences, observations, ideas and/or feelings about arts works encountered at school, home and/or in the community, and using play/imagination/arts knowledge/processes/skills to create and share in different forms. A school-selected authentic work offers an inquiry route without demanding family disclosure. Q/R are formative plans for next teaching, not a graded achievement judgment. The two-line counters are not Mathematics assessment evidence.
Version precision: the May 2026 QCAA example Prep Music plan has AC9AMUFCO1 with a letter O in one table; the dedicated alignment uses AC9AMUFC01 with zero, adopted here. The example plan is illustrative and does not supply our repertoire.
