Check A · worked first response
- The pairs are
(1 scene card,4 cue marks),(2,7),(3,10),(4,17). Direction is positive in this four-draft list; the x=4, y=17 draft sits above the line projected by the first three. Text coordinates and graph are equivalent evidence if units/direction are clear. L(4)=3×4+1=13;listed − predicted=17−13=+4 cue marks. The residual measures a difference from this proposed line, not its cause or whether the draft is wrong.- The x=4 draft conflicts with “fits every”; a careful replacement is “In these four invented drafts, cue marks generally rose with scene cards; the proposed line matches the first three but is four marks below the fourth.” No claim about real animation performance.
- Accept a defined draft inclusion rule, a different design team's drafts, or a clearer account of how cue marks were assigned; “more data” alone needs specification.
Branch: If axes swap, return to the question and one ordered pair. If residual becomes −4, physically line up 17 and 13 and use listed-minus-model. If a single high value is called an error, ask what source evidence identifies an error; none does. Preserve first answer before feedback.

- Row totals Ocean
8+4=12, Space9+9=18, No-theme2+3=5. Column totals Foil8+9+2=19, Plain4+9+3=16; grand total12+18+5=35=19+16. - If choosing a design uniformly from the invented register,
P(Foil | Ocean)=8/12=2/3≈66.7%. Among all designs,P(Foil)=19/35≈54.3%. These are register-bound conditional/overall probabilities; the notice borrowed the Ocean conditional rate and mislabelled its group. - Dropping No-theme leaves
17foil of30named-theme designs (17/30≈56.7%), a different question. The missing theme label does not erase the known Foil/Plain values of those five records. - One fair repair: “In this invented register, 19 of 35 sticker designs are foil (about 54.3%); among the 12 Ocean designs, 8 are foil (66.7%).” The table cannot show preference, quality, why a theme was omitted, or a cause between theme and surface.
Branch: If 8/35 is offered for given Ocean, frame the 12 Ocean records and count 8 within that group. If 17/30 is called all designs, restore the no-theme row. If “because Ocean” remains, distinguish a conditional description from a causal explanation. Later recheck with a new category table if the public key was seen.
Evidence note
Assess coordinates/structure, arithmetic, denominator labels and scope separately. Mark independent, with access support, or needs another observation for each; do not label a learner by a route. A 25-minute class exit is a sample, not proof of mastered Year 10 content. No real classroom result is claimed here.
