Open the ten 25-minute lessons, clean learner cards, teacher context notes and keys, A4 coordinate grid (PNG), A4 line-comparison plot (PNG) and keyed assessment. Print the learner cards for students; keep the worked keys with the teacher.
Prepare: Print equal-scale axes; use a ruler or accessible graph tool with axes and units announced. Check prerequisite signed coordinates, ordered pairs, ratio as rise/run and Pythagoras. A 5-minute precheck is embedded in Days 1 and 6; a learner who needs an earlier entry point may use marked steps or a calculator while still explaining the Year 9 relation. Do not teach a coordinate-space layout as an actual accessibility, construction or safety specification. Each context and price is invented. A learner may explain through tactile coordinates, enlarged grid, keyboard, sign/AAC, voice, drawing or directing an adult; record who supplied the mathematical step.
National alignment: AC9M9A03 asks learners to find gradient, midpoint and distance between two distinct Cartesian points. AC9M9A05 asks for mathematical modelling of applied change, including financial contexts, with formulation, interpretation and evaluation; our second week begins this cycle with linear models only. Neither code is fully demonstrated by one fortnight.
