A teacher reads each invented source neutrally or gives its exact linear/tactile alternative. You can point, speak, sign, use AAC, draw or direct an adult. These are not secure exams. No real family, place, culture or Country/Place story is required. Teachers preserve first responses before discussing the separate teacher key.

Use the large A4 illustrated source. This pavilion, map, sketch and person are invented.
Source 1 · overhead map: a square entry is at the lower edge, a triangular roof is at upper left, a rectangular reading seat is at upper right, and two circular mosaic tables are on the right side. The symbols are labelled on the map.
Source 2 · visitor sketch: from the square entry, the drawing shows the roof, reading seat and one near round table. The far round table is outside this sketch. The sketch is not a photograph.
Source 3 · Lia's note: “The reading seat under the roof matters to me because I like to open my sketchbook there. I cannot tell you whether Sam likes that seat.”
- Point to or name one feature both map and sketch show. Which source lets you locate both round tables? Explain using the printed symbols.
- Does the visitor sketch prove the far table is gone? Say what it does and does not show.
- Whose own words tell why the seat matters to them? Which source holds those words?
- Ask one respectful question these sources cannot answer about Sam or another visitor. Finish “The source says ; it does not tell me .”
These sources document no real pavilion, person, family or care result.
Check B · Day 90 · Paper Lantern Yard
Use the large A4 illustrated source. Every person and place is invented; “lantern” is a neutral drawn paper shape, not a real cultural symbol or festival.
Source 1 · pictorial map: a broad arched gate is at the bottom; a curved shared strip leads to a square game mat at upper left and a triangular shade roof at upper right. A round marker labels the middle of the strip.
Source 2 · two personal notes: Ari: “The roof matters to me because I like to draw there.” Bea: “The open strip matters to me because I carry our big game board along it. I cannot say why Ari likes the roof.” Each person speaks for themself.
Source 3 · keeper notice: “Please leave the portable paper lantern card off the shared strip. Ask the keeper before changing a fixed feature. This notice does not report that anyone moved the card.”
- Locate the open strip and one other named feature on the pictorial map. What can the map locate but not tell about a person's reason?
- Match Ari and Bea to their own stated reasons. Does either note speak for everyone?
- Choose the careful conclusion: A “The keeper asked that the strip stay clear, but we do not know whether it happened”; B “The card was moved and the strip improved for everyone.” Explain from Source 3.
- Ask which approved future source could check whether anyone acted. Finish “I know ___ from ; I would need ___ to know .”
The source does not grant permission for an actual care action or make a claim about any real community.
