Learner choices

Goal: share a source-bounded explanation and revise wording only in response to actual evidence or real listener feedback. Proposed codes: AC9SFH01, AC9SFI05. Prepare: Day 42/43 display or fictional N, Model exchange E, next-question, Card 44.

  1. Source gate · 3 min. Check what the child's display actually contains and who may see it; private teacher audience is enough.
  2. Model · 4 min. Read E as invented dialogue. The reader's question is not feedback from this classroom.
  3. Rehearse · 5 min. Teacher models a claim with exact source and limit: “This record says … under these conditions; it does not tell …”. Do not claim “we observed” from N.
  4. Child try · 7 min. Card 44 routes let child explain to a consenting listener or teacher privately, then ask what source helped. Record actual listener words only if they occur.
  5. Revise/check · 4 min. If actual feedback identifies ambiguity, child may revise one phrase; if no listener response, write NO ACTUAL LISTENER RESPONSE and revise only from source review.
  6. Exit · 2 min. Save original and revised wording separately; do not invent learning gain.
