Read each question without naming the answer or telling a child which art choice is “best”. Sign, point or use locally understood AAC. Record the child's words/selection, not an adult's interpretation. If the child passes, return to a neutral image later.
| Day | Prompt and record |
|---|---|
| 11 | “Same frame. What changed about this three-corner shape? What would you choose for your own picture?” Record small/large and intention. |
| 12 | “Can you follow the whole edge? Which frame shows a part?” Record visible edge/choice. |
| 13 | “Where is a clear area? What could you leave it for?” Record chosen region, including an invented purpose. |
| 14 | “Show me two choices in your picture. What would you like to leave clear?” Record child's decisions, not adult aesthetics. |
| 15 | “Make the second five-corner form larger. What stayed the same?” Record first response before feedback. |
| 16 | “Which marks are you choosing? Did you plan them, direct them, or make them with a tool?” Record route and observed action separately. |
| 17 | “Which region has more marks? Which one would you choose, and why?” Record density and child intention. |
| 18 | “Would you keep your first image or change one thing? What did you choose?” Record before/after if permitted. |
| 19 | “What can you notice in this authorised real work? What does its named maker or source tell us?” If no source is cleared, hold encounter evidence. |
| 20 | “Show only part of the round form and leave a clear place. Where would its hidden part continue?” Record first image and explanation. |
