A scribe must not choose size or position for the child. Do not score neatness, speed, colour perception or fine motor control. Two equal rectangular frames are shown. The first has one small five-corner outline; the second is blank. An invented paper shelter wants an emblem in the second frame that takes up more room. Make a larger version of the first form in the second frame, still with five corners. Leave the first frame as it started. Point to, sign or say what changed and what stayed the same. Give a possible reason for your choice. You may direct a neutral adult to move a broad fixed form.

The page starts with a blank rectangular picture frame and a separate whole round paper wheel as an invented shape token. Make an image in the frame that shows only part of that round form because an edge of the frame cuts across it. Also leave one broad clear region inside the frame where a word or mark could be added later. Point to or tell us where the hidden round part would continue and show the clear region. You can draw, arrange broad fixed shapes or direct a neutral adult. There are several good layouts.
