These are invented places and model categories. Use the six practice cards, daily route menu and full-word versions of the A4 aids. Bring a pencil, paper/counters or a typing/AAC tool. You can change route on any day. All routes ask for the same geographic claim, evidence and limit. Do not use any model grid as a real hazard or travel map. You never need to share an address, family experience or disaster story.
| Day | Your evidence card to hand in | Before handing it in |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Card A/B: make a process→zone→exposure chain with a cell reference; add one impact fact the cards do not give. | Have I said model and kept zero dwellings separate from zero people? |
| 2 | Card B: explain two different causal processes and one interaction (rain with slope material, for example). | Have I named a process rather than assuming a disaster occurred? |
| 3 | Card A: describe the west-to-east category pattern with two cell references, orientation and the 100 m cell scale. | Did I read the category key without inventing a depth? |
| 4 | Card A: tally H/M/L dwelling counts and explain why a count is not a measured loss or probability. | Are my sums H=0, M=29 and L=52 for these cells only? |
| 5 | New File G: make a fresh map description, tally and source limit. | Is every number tied to the new file, not Card A? |
| 6 | Card E: state one shared condition, two different capacity conditions and two missing data questions. | Did I discuss the supplied systems, not judge a community? |
| 7 | Card D: compare D1/D2 onset and duration; propose a conditional communication difference and name what remains unknown. | Did I avoid claiming frequency from three made-up rows? |
| 8 | Card C: explain a possible access effect of the B2 closure and identify the authority information needed. | Did I avoid naming an invented safe route? |
| 9 | Cards E/F: give a spatial fact, conditional implication, specific next action, responsible check and limitation. | Is 30 a route-use count, not a count of harmed people? |
| 10 | New File H: explain process, pattern, exposure, possible capacity action and uncertainty. | Is my action something to verify, not a claim that a fictional site is safe? |
Quick geographic sentence frame: “In this supplied model, ___ at cell/site ___ is ___ compared with . That may matter for ___ because . We still need ___ before concluding ___.” A labelled diagram, ordered full-word cards, written paragraph, recorded explanation or AAC sequence can carry that same reasoning. The teacher may record what support you used; support is welcome and does not change the target.
Public-check honesty: Day 5 and Day 10 questions and their worked answers are published openly. They are practice for feedback, not secure school tests.
