This seventh original fortnight follows the ten-place picture board with a different design problem: make a large tabletop alignment guide so two broad paper record cards can be placed against the same reference edge. Children compare a baseline guide with a corner guide, propose two ideas, choose for a pretend viewer, and—only if school approved—mark a broad guide and place two large practice sheets. The result to observe is whether both paper edges touch the chosen guide, not whether any living thing changed.
The first week sits beside integrated Week 13 “People in a story”, using entirely separate invented drawing cards to practise careful source attribution; it does not request or display children's family information. The second week sits beside Week 14 “Looking again at plants”. An authentic dated plant record may be considered only when the school has approved the plant, view, date, access and storage. Aligning two sheets does not make two plant views equivalent, prove growth or supply Science evidence. Design and Science observations remain separate.
Start with the safe kit and exact fictional source. The pack has ten individual 25-minute scripts, three same-goal routes for each day, twenty worked life-domain swaps, eight original A4 SVG/PDF aids, and two fresh public formative checks with separate teacher key/next moves. Optional home ideas need only speech or a drawing, not printing, cutting, a real family story or a plant encounter.
Evidence gate: A printed guide is a proposal. Only an approved actual large-paper marking/placement can show child material action and whether two practice sheets contacted the guide. Record BOTH ON GUIDE / ONE OFF GUIDE / NOT TRIED from reality, together with the physical handler and any real viewer response. Adult-only marking is adult action even if a child directed it. No real family source or plant record is supplied. The knowledge row's “familiar” component needs an appropriate school-selected real product/service/environment with provenance and child observation.
