- Materials and observable properties (AC9SFU03): A genuine, approved, dated one-drop comparison can support an exact description of how these particular confirmed plain-paper and washable-plastic surfaces looked after a tiny drop and fixed wait. The first subclause on objects made of multiple materials is addressed in earlier material packs; this pair of single-surface samples is only a partial opportunity for AC9SFU03. A drawn dark patch is not a material property, and appearance alone does not prove absorption, evaporation, waterproofing, water destination or hygiene.
- Questions and prediction (AC9SFH01, AC9SFI01): Ask what visible mark may appear and plan one surface change. Record a genuine prior prediction before genuine results if made. D's invented prediction exists only within its model; an after-result guess is not prior.
- Safe inquiry and templates (AC9SFI02/03): Credit actual safe investigation only with school approval/pretest, local date, exact materials, child direct access or attributed ADULT REPORT, raw before/action/after and paired valid/interrupted entries. - Theme boundary: The integrated Week 23 shared-event story supplies sequence language, not a Science experiment or an actual family event. Week 24 feelings/help supplies a safeguard that a real spill goes to an adult, not a Science result or evidence about a child's feelings. No family, HASS or HPE code is inferred from this material pack.
- Fresh checks: Held Days 115/120 sample fair-plan, source, interruption and claim boundaries on novel paper cases. They cannot establish a real material property, actual safe investigation, learning gain or full achievement standard.
Australian Curriculum v9 names Foundation Year; Queensland calls it Prep. Other states and territories require their own current implementation check.
