Teacher copy: This page may include teaching prompts or answer keys. Answer keys in this public library can be viewed by anyone. Give learners a clean prompt, use checks as formative evidence, and change a case locally when prior access matters.

Prepare once: Print the eight A4 aids, use their exact text descriptions, or open the optional offline digital activity. The first source is a fictional Paper Planet shelf with a made-up LOOP–SQUARE card whose meaning is UNKNOWN. It is not a real school, safety sign, help point, cultural motif, artist work or instruction. Do not test children by asking them to obey it. A character in a fictional two-panel art card may show uncertainty and ask a school-approved adult; the school's actual child-safety lead chooses real signs and procedures in the separate integrated Week 7 block.

If physical making is approved, the adult prepares clean large blunt paper/card and dry school-approved drawing tools. Adult handles all cutting. Check allergies, sensory access, safe stabilisation, room movement, storage and any camera/display policy. The lessons need no child cutting, glue, wet paint, food, small loose parts, sharp tool, pressure test, screen or touch of unfamiliar material. A child may draw/place, direct an adult, use AAC/sign/speech/pointing or pass on physical handling. Record actual maker/handler and exact support. Tactile copies use broad fixed raised lines only with local approval and the child's agreement; no touch is a full route to the art decision.

Original aide Exact invented visual fact Boundary
Unknown cue One made-up LOOP–SQUARE card above a fictional shelf; MEANING UNKNOWN. Not a real sign or an instruction. No meaning is assigned by its appearance.
Two-panel path Same blank NOTICE and ASK panels shown left-to-right, then top-to-bottom. A visual reading route; no actual viewer understanding is supplied.
Sequence or repeat A story changes from OPEN BOX to CLOSED BOX; a separate mark strip repeats ARCH, BAR ARCH, BAR.
Visual unit ARCH, BAR is bracketed as one unit, shown three times with gaps between units. Original geometry only. Size/spacing decisions can be art choices without changing the unit.
Quiet transfer An ARCH card can map to a silent raised hand; a BAR card can map to a still hand, then return to marks. Optional locally safe gestures; no sound, performance or Music/Dance claim.
Art/viewer record Blank visual intention, two options/change, actual maker/support, actual willing viewer/response fields. Intention, making and audience remain separate facts.
Check M Fresh fictional TEARDROP–BRACKET card on a shelf, meaning unknown; two blank panels. Held transfer source; not rehearsed or treated as an actual sign.
Check N Fresh BENT LINE and SMALL BLOCK marks, with blank unit and two blank strip rows. No pattern solution or correct art effect is prefilled. No physical wire is used.

No-material art: A child can choose panel order, name a connecting detail, communicate two visual options and explain an intended viewer path using words, sign, AAC, eye gaze or directed gestures. This is genuine idea-development evidence; it is labelled PLAN ONLY if nobody made a physical work. An adult can scribe exact child choices. A read-aloud and no-cost home bridge appear on every learner card.

Real art and audience: An authorised artwork/maker and source-stated purpose are needed to sample AC9AVAFE01. An actual willing audience is needed for AC9AVAFP01. Use the source slot. No real child art, photograph, community image, song, cultural design or voice is embedded.

Held checks: Check M Day 35 and Check N Day 40 are fresh invented sources. Keep their separate educator key closed until the first child response is saved. Do not practise their exact shapes, answers or layouts in daily models or the browser activity.
