- Print retrieve · 3 min. Read A map is on a mat. only if taught; do not use the map image to guess a word.
- Model · 4 min. Read Sol's answer from Materials and restate: “Sol chose the raised dot for this paper marker because Sol said the edge can be felt.” Do not infer diagnosis.
- Guide · 5 min. Compare a faithful report with “everyone needs dots.” Invite child to point to the exact source words that prevent that leap; adult rereads if needed.
- Child report · 7 min. Child chooses one of three fictional respondent contexts, listens, then reports choice and reason via speech, AAC, sign or child-directed scribe to a chosen listener.
- Confirmation · 4 min. Adult acts respondent and corrects a deliberately altered detail; child revises and saves first/revised version.
- Exit · 2 min. Ask whose answer was reported. If child drops source, add “Sol said…” or a source icon tomorrow.
