Prepare: art-canvas/making-record, broad postcard/display backing; no contact details or posting system.
- Invite and choose · 3 min. Offer “keep it for me,” “quiet desk display,” or “postcard for someone who wants it.” Child may pass on sharing. No fine handwriting required.
- Model · 4 min. Explain an actual display need: backing can keep loose patches together. Location remains a plan until agreed. An imagined recipient has not received a postcard.
- Explore · 5 min. Child tries title position or no title, attach/leave loose and landscape/portrait to suit use. Adult gives exact descriptions and checks directions.
- Make/direct · 7 min. Child makes/directs one adaptation. Adult confirms child permission; viewer/recipient and display place must also agree before sharing. Use fictional “willing reader” planning role if none available; no public upload/contacting people.
- Notice and next · 4 min. Record use, actual adaptation and permission/status. Private work still shows creation. Audience stays NOT OBSERVED until real sharing.
- Clear and close · 2 min. Keep work privately. Prepare optional quiet one-to-one viewer encounter tomorrow, or equally useful self-review.
Look/listen for: chosen use and art adaptation. A display pass is not an art failure; ask a smaller “keep loose or attach?” choice if needed.
