Learner choices

Goal: respond to an unseen fictional source, ask one fair follow-up and report bounded meaning. Proposed codes: AC9EFLY02, AC9EFLY05, AC9EFLY07, AC9EFLY12, AC9EFLY13. Prepare: teacher-held Day 140 check, correct private print route, Card 140 after.

  1. Welcome · 3 min. Explain new fictional source and pass/repeat choices; no interview with a real peer is required.
  2. Fresh listen · 5 min. Adult reads unseen exchange once, repeating through agreed access route; do not paraphrase the scored answer.
  3. Held-out print · 5 min. Privately show new CVC words at taught point and dictate one with print hidden; record sound, letter and access separately.
  4. Independent report · 7 min. Child gives source, exact object choice and stated reason, poses one neutral follow-up, and names one unsupported generalisation. Save first response.
  5. Confirm/edit · 3 min. Adult as respondent checks child's report; child can revise after first record. Record actual peer voice separately if later observed.
  6. Close · 2 min. Choose next teaching from exact key. Day 140 practice begins only after check.

The Week 27 and Week 28 guides extend these specific English skills into science/HASS. Do not score the integrated discussion as another independent held-out attempt.
