Ten original 25-minute starts for noticing, testing and making visual choices with line, shape, space, overlap, surface marks and pattern. Each child can draw, arrange large paper pieces, direct a neutral adult, use tactile outlines, AAC or opt into locally approved materials. No child has to disclose family culture, copy an artist, tolerate a texture, use scissors or paint, be photographed, or display a work publicly. These activities use invented geometric picture stories; they are not locally authentic art or a substitute for encountering work made by real artists and communities.
The exact ACARA v9 / QCAA Prep crosswalk uses AC9AVAFE01, AC9AVAFD01, AC9AVAFC01 and AC9AVAFP01. Start with six practice cards A–F, ten timed scripts, 30 same-target participation routes, 20 worked context swaps, 20 life-domain bridges and spoken/quiet prompts. Two new public formative checks G/H have child sheets and a separate teacher key. Six original A4 image-making aids and two check pages have SVG/PDF plus exact text/tactile directions. There is no device requirement.
The common target is a child's chosen visible arrangement and stated intention, not adult preference for “neat” work. The child may change route or pass. The adult checks safe materials, access, allergies and handling, obtains consent for any display, and stores only what local policy permits. Large fixed paper pieces avoid small loose components. Visual/tactile planning can show an idea; later supported making with chosen materials and encounters with authorised real works are needed for wider evidence. Showing a work to an actual willing person provides limited audience evidence; a paper puppet rehearsal or pass does not.
