Ten original 25-minute starts for Unit 1: Share under the current QCAA Drama General senior syllabus 2025 v1.3, January 2026. Unit 1 has an inquiry Area of study: How does drama promote shared understandings of the human experience? There is no “Topic 1.” These 250 minutes open a notional 55-hour unit; they are not a whole unit, finished production, live-theatre experience or school assessment program.
Start with the ten teacher scripts, original practice scenes A–F, learner desk, three routes per day, two worked swaps per day, twenty context bridges and spoken/quiet prompts. Two fresh public checks G/H have a separate worked teacher key. Six original A4 script, blocking and sequencing aids and two fresh check sheets come as SVG and searchable PDF, with exact text and tactile build directions. Two optional original tone cues explore a staging choice; no device is required.
Every task can be completed by acting, directing with cards/objects, or annotating and analysing a script. Role-play, public speaking, movement, touch, recording and personal disclosure are opt-in. Learners can stop or change route without explaining why. A neutral reader or scribe can help without choosing the dramatic decision. These routes support the same opening target of making and justifying a purposeful dramatic-language choice; they do not claim to replace an eventual assessed acting performance. Keep all stories fictional and low stakes. Ask before using peers’ words, image, voice or personal history.
The curriculum crosswalk and source/cultural-rights ledger name the important hold: the QCAA unit requires Australian voices and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or Asia–Pacific perspectives, selected published texts and professional live or recorded live theatre. This pack’s original neutral exercises do not meet those requirements on their own. The first-authority source slot links a First Nations-led theatre company and Creative Australia protocols for teacher planning; it does not reproduce or perform their stories. A school must select authorised texts, consult cultural authority where relevant, arrange access and teach the wider unit.
